My Priorities

Locals First

Sweet Grass County was built by generations of families who worked the land, ran businesses, and invested in this community long before growth arrived. I believe local voices should always come first in county decision-making. My goal is to ensure policies support residents who live, work, and raise families here — not unintentionally push them out.

Responsible Growth

Growth can bring opportunity, but only when it’s planned carefully. I support development that respects our infrastructure, land, and community character. That means thoughtful planning, asking hard questions, and making sure growth enhances — not overwhelms — our way of life.

Transparency & Communication

County government works best when residents know what’s happening and why decisions are made. I believe in open communication, accessible leadership, and clear explanations — no surprises, no closed-door decision-making, and no confusion about how taxpayer dollars are used.

Fiscal Responsibility

A family of three, consisting of a mother, father, and young child, sitting together on a blanket outside next to a wooden building. The family appears to be enjoying a moment of laughter and closeness.

Every dollar spent by the county comes from the people who live here. I believe in responsible budgeting, long-term planning, and making decisions that balance current needs with future sustainability. Being fiscally responsible isn’t about doing less — it’s about doing what makes sense.

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

I bring real-world experience to the role of County Commissioner. My professional background in communications and human resources has taught me how to listen carefully, navigate difficult conversations, and make decisions that affect people’s livelihoods.

I understand how large employers impact local economies, how schools and workforce systems intersect, and how important clear communication is when decisions affect an entire community. I don’t approach leadership with ego or politics — I approach it with preparation, respect, and a commitment to doing what’s right for the county as a whole.

Good leadership starts with listening — and ends with accountability.

COMMUNITY VALUES

My values guide every decision I make — as a mother, professional, and community member.

I believe in:

  • Faith

  • Family

  • Freedom

  • Hard work

  • Personal responsibility

  • Community over politics

These values are what make rural Montana strong, and they’re the foundation of how I believe county government should operate — practical, respectful, and rooted in common sense.
